Biography

David Patrick Boreanaz was born on May 16 1971 in Buffalo, New York. With his father being a veteran weather forecaster for WPVI in Philadelphia David was exposed to television at a young age. Since seeing the inspiring performance of Yul Brynner in "The King and I" at the young age of seven, Boreanaz had a feeling that acting would be in his future. After graduating from Ithaca College, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in Hollywood. Of course just like all upcoming actors he did not succeed immediately, Boreanaz started out doing such jobs as: parking cars, painting houses and handing out towels at a sport club. His first real break was a small guest role on the television series "Married... with Children" where he played Kelly Bundy's (Christine Applegate) biker boyfriend Frank. David was discovered in a Hollywood neighborhood while walking his dog Bertha Blue. A manager spotted his brooding, intense look and instantly signed him as a client. The day right after he signed up with the acting agency who discovered him, David audition for a new series called: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was to be shown on the new WB network. The character he audition for was that of Angel, a vampire with a soul. David was chosen and he began filing the next day. After three years of working on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, David was offered his own show. In 1999 The WB gave a green light to the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff Angel, which has just been picked up for it's 5th season.

In 1998 David became a spokesman for Levi's Original Spin program, making promotional appearances around America, designing some custom jeans that were auctioned off to help the organization peace 2000.
